Umios Food Europe’s near-term science-based emissions reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This means our plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are aligned with the latest climate science.
Implementation is driven by:
1. Transition to 100% renewable electricity
2. Logistics and distribution efficiency improvements
3. Structured supplier engagement to reduce upstream emissions
Umios Food Europe has formally committed to establishing a science-based net-zero target in line, supporting the global objective to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Our long time ambition for Scope 1, 2 and 3 is 90% absolute reduction by 2050 (vs. 2024 baseline).
Umios Food Europe is actively developing its net-zero roadmap, with decarbonisation actions focused on renewable energy sourcing, logistics optimisation, and supplier engagement.
The commitment marks a defined step towards a fully validated net-zero pathway, with submission and validation of long-term targets as the next stage.
